When one starts a business with the goal of creating a great product - in our case a potent, all natural, great tasting mint- you can only hope to hold onto your ideals while at the same time running and maintaining a successful business. Quality Mint Appreciation
While leaving a local grocery store recently one of the checkout baggers confronted me about Meltzer’s mints. I had provided several samples to the store a week ago. “You’re mints are so good – I love them. They are so much better than the other brands. It’s their flavor – it’s not just their strength but the flavor is so good. I just can’t stop eating them.”
What struck me about all of this was - she was really excited. About a mint.
This is the kind of thing that truly makes my day. And it keeps happening, over and over. From people I don’t know, from all across the country. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.
We have actually created a mint that people love and get excited about. ‘Flavor’ is the main thing that keeps coming up - how good Meltzer’s mints taste, how light and refreshing. Very different that what these folks are used to, both in mass market and natural mints.
What strikes me over and over again, is that people are not used to having true mint oil. Real mint oil - quality oil not just any mint oil - is so incredibly delicious and not bitter or overly strange tasting to get that ‘cool’ feel.
So when people taste the real deal – they love it. And I love that.
